Social Distancing – This is an expression that most of us probably hadn’t heard before the current COVID-19 outbreak, but now it seems to be mentioned in the news every hour. For most of us, it’s a foreign concept. We’re social people and want to see others, but now the direction is to stay at least 6 feet apart at all times.
It is haunting to look at pictures of locations that usually are bustling with people, such as Times Square, and now just seeing a handful of people making it across the area by themselves.
While you can’t argue with the medical benefits of limiting the spread this way, it does cause a lot of inconveniences for people that are used to having free movement. To help with the measure, it is good to be careful in how we go about our daily routine. While hoarding should be avoided, it is wise to plan out your week so you don’t have to run back and forth to the store multiple times for essential supplies.
